Spain and the Turkey will meet in a big Group D clash at the Euro 2016 tournament in France this Friday June 17th when they take to the pitch in Nice. Spain is currently ranked sixth in the world and managed to beat 30th-ranked Czech Republic 1-0 in Toulouse in their opening match. Turkey is ranked 17th by FIFA and was downed 1-0 by 27th-ranked Croatia in their first contest. Spain is seeking its unprecedented third straight European Championship crown with Turkey seeking its first. This is another of the tournament’s most competitive groups and should feature some close contests.

Sunderland can guarantee themselves at least one more season in the English Premier League if they can manage to take all three points from Everton in their home clash at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday, May 11th. The Black Cats earned three huge points at home in their come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Chelsea last Saturday while Everton was busy losing 3-1 on the road at the King Power Stadium to title winners Leicester City. Sunderland can still avoid relegation if they lose or draw to Everton, but they’ll be leaving it to the very last minute if they do.
Chelsea lost their chance at retaining the English Premier League title several weeks ago and they don’t even have a chance at a top-six finish this season. They don’t have much to play for during the remainder of the 2015/16, but their away match in Sunderland this Saturday, May 7th is crucial for the host team. Sunderland needs as many points as possible over the last three games of the season to climb out of the relegation zone and avoid being dropped down to the second-tier English Championship League next season. Chelsea fought back from a 2-0 deficit at home at Stamford Bridge against Tottenham Hotspur to earn a 2-2 draw last Monday while Sunderland dropped a pair of points by drawing 1-1 at Stoke City. Chelsea’s draw with Spurs enabled Leicester City to win the Premier League crown.
Arsenal and Norwich City still have a lot to play for over the last few weeks of the English Premier League season and will be squaring off against each other at the Emirates Stadium in London this Saturday, April 30th. The Gunners are desperately trying to hang onto their fourth-place position to qualify for the 2016/17 European Champions League while Norwich has four games remaining to dig themselves out of the relegation zone.
